WHAT GRANDMASTER FLASH HAD TO SAY ABOUT THIS RELEASE:
"Scratch Dance" is a song out of Los Angeles in 1983 on Carbon Copy Records that is basically the West Coast version of "Wheels of Steel". At the helm, on the turntables, an L.A. native named Chris Taylor, the engineer Victor Flores. Both were credited as the artists on the record. While I used "Good Times" by Chic and "Rapture" by Blondie and "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen on "Adventures...", their record went further using everything from "Raid" by Lakeside to Whodini's "The Haunted House of Rock" to "Buffalo Gals" by Malcolm McLaren to Herbie Hancock's "Rockit" to obscure songs like Yazoo's "Situation", "When Boys Talk" by Indeep and "I.O.U." by Freeez. The song made noise out West.
