WHAT JAMES HAMILTON HAD TO SAY ABOUT THIS RELEASE:
BRASS CONSTRUCTION ‘Movin’ 1988 (The Brass Construction Reconstruction)’ (Syncopate 12SYX 11)
With Phil Harding’s mix only just out, this is not a remix as such, it is in fact a Les Adams-created straightforwardly mixed neat 114(intro)-118⅓-117½-120-119-120-119½-118¼-120½-121½bpm medley of ‘Ha Cha Cha/Movin’ 1988/Partyline/Walkin’ The Line/lnternational/Shakit/We Can Work It Out/Partyline’, flipped by the acid synth twittered brassily driving 0-115(intro)-117½-119½-121¼-120⅔-123-121⅓-121½-120⅔-123¼bpm Original Version from 1976. Frankly, I’ll be glad when the Seventies go away and we can get back to nothing but electronic rhythms!
