WHAT JASON DAVIES OF THE MIXBUSTERS HAD TO SAY ABOUT THIS RELEASE:
During the late 80's after Steve and I left school we both had crummy jobs, Steve as a bank clerk and me as an accounts clerk. I used to spend any time I could spare on the phone to try and promote and get us work generally through the DJ mailing lists I was on. One of the contacts I made was at Champion Records in London, who also offered me a job. Cash in hand, a 205 GTI and all day recording porn videos for the owner... how could an 18 year old resist! This mix was done whilst at Champion. The downside was that this mix was to ultimately cost me my job. At the time the owner was always asking me to do remixes on my own but I was loyal and always stuck by the partnership. This mix was never released because of the ensuing argument with the owner about remixing being done by the partnership. The owner decided to throw the 200 promo pressings in the skip and I rescued a couple of boxes. I still have a load to this day!
